Meet Our Students
1) Where are you from?
Right here in the beautiful, and unique, PNW. Though I travelled and lived throughout the country, including California, Pennsylvania, Montana, Colorado, and New Mexico. The PNW will always have my heart.
2) Why did you choose Academy of Aesthetic Arts?
Honestly, I was interested in furthering my education by becoming a licensed instructor. When I began this search, the nearest school was in Renton. Finally, one day in early Spring 2019, while searching again (because you never know!) and I found the Academy, made contact, and felt an internal relief immediately.
3) What appeals to you about this industry?
I guess you could say that a career in Aesthetics is written in my stars (quite literally) I have always been interested in health and body sciences. Though I have no interest in going to med school, and pursued the social sciences in my undergraduate studies. Either way, this industry allows for the perfect mix of my need to be creative and artistic in my own rite, while helping others with their needs. I love being able to see the results of my work, and the smile on my clients faces. And hearing about how I helped make a difference in their life.
4) What do you hope to do after graduating from AAA?
Well, I’ve technically already graduated. I am looking forward to teaching and helping others advance their aesthetic careers. While continuing my own practice.
5) What are your favorite services to perform and why?
I’m a result oriented individual. I love seeing the smiles in my client’s eyes when they can see the beautiful change that I can see. My favorite services include lash lifts and tints, brow lamination. Dermaplaning w/ enzyme peels. Microneedling, targeting specific results. LED therapy. Sugaring hair removal. I enjoy all aspects of skin care though, so I’m just as happy doing a body wrap, facials, galvanic, microdermabrasion, and radiofrequency.
6) What have you enjoyed most about your time at AAA?
The ability to be myself, as a learner and as a person and even in my professional capacity as an Aesthetician. And taking the success of my education into my own hands.
7) What did you do before becoming an Esthetician?
Prior to becoming an Esthetician, I worked in the social science sector, and the technology sector. I have several undergraduate degrees and certifications.
After graduating from academy of Aesthetic Arts I plan to merge my skills into my medical background, eventually working with Laser therapy. My favorite services to perform are facials, lash extensions and lifts because you see instant results. I have enjoyed Academy of Aesthetic Arts because of the flexibility and school culture that values each other like family.
My hope after graduating from Academy of Aesthetic Arts, is to be able to add this discipline to my current business. My favorite services to perform are lash lifts and facials because they are relaxing. What I have enjoyed most about the Academy is that it’s a flexible and accessible way to learn!
My name is Deanna Adams,
I chose this program because not only is it affordable, but very accommodating to my schedule. This industry appeals to me because I love helping people feel better through touch. My favorite service to perform is waxing, it’s so satisfying! The best thing about the academy so far is the people. The instructors and the students are amazing!
